EPDA has launched a new and important survey focused on drooling (sialorrhea) – which, although very important, is often overlooked as a Parkinson’s symptom.
This survey is aimed at people with Parkinson’s who experience drooling due to their condition, as well as at their family members and carers who may have important insights about the symptom to share.
By collecting data, EPDA aim to understand the prevalence of drooling in people living with Parkinson’s as well as the burden this symptom causes – from a physical, well-being and daily living perspective. They hope to use the survey findings to create awareness among healthcare professionals about the prevalence of drooling as a symptom of Parkinson’s and about the different treatment options available to help their patients.
The survey is available in four languages:
- English version – FdR: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/EPDA_sial_EN
- French version – FdR https://fr.surveymonkey.com/r/EPDA_sial_FR
- German version – FdR https://de.surveymonkey.com/r/EPDA_sial_DE
- Spanish version – FdR https://es.surveymonkey.com/r/EPDA_sial_ES
The questionnaire should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and is open until 15 November 2020.
